[14/08/2007] Extreme Metal Festival 15th September

COREFREQUENCY will be playing live next 15th September at Monte Kristo Wine Vaults from 5.30pm onwards. The entrance fee for the event will be a reasonable Lm5. Another 9 bands will also be taking part. That's right! 10 bands alternating on 2 stages, the best extreme metal the island has to offer!! Make sure you are present to experience this event! The biggest metal event on the island this year!! 10 bands that shall perform alternately on 2 stages, at the Montekristo wine vaults, Hal-Farrug street, Luqa, on Saturday 15th September 2007. The venue consists of a brand new enormous hall, home of Malta’s own Montekristo wine and Caqnu beer. The bands taking part in this event are the best extreme metal bands the island has to offer, with styles of metal including hardcore, death metal, thrash and doom. The bands are: Angelcrypt, Arachnid, Club murder, Corefrequency, Ktinodia, Lithomancy, Loathe, Recoil, Slit and Weeping Silence. For those who are not sure of the whereabouts of the venue, just take the road from Luqa to Qormi past Mambra and SML store, and take the road on the left at the next roundabout (the one with the ‘injection’ monument). Then keep going straight and follow the signs. Transport will be provided from Valletta leaving at 5.30p.m. (so please be there earlier) and after the festival has ended leaving at 2.15a.m. to wherever needed. Doors open at 5.30 p.m. and first band kicks off at 6.30p.m. sharp. Entrance fee shall be an economical Lm5, which is not much considering a good show from 10 great bands. There shall be band and metal merchandise stalls, well stocked bars and a food stall. This promises to be an event that will satiate the thirst of metal lovers who have long awaited a good festival!! As most of you probably know by now Spin is over. The new machine is called CoreFrequency, and it's gonna make your ears bleed on Saturday 16th June with great band and mates LOATHE.

A fresh look for our myspace page as well as a new official website are in the works.

Meanwhile, we hope to see you all on Saturday for a great night of metal and some hard partying. CoreFrequency T-shirts will be on sale at the door together with a free 3-track promo CD to tide you over until our first release hits the shelves.

We are proud to announce that our new guitarist is Stefan 'Baby'. Many of you might remember him from Despised and Lynch. Welcome aboard! Pics of the new lineup will be up shortly.We would like to welcome Stefan 'Baby' amongst the SPIN family. [29/10/2006] New Guitarist Needed

As much as I hate to say this, our gig with Recoil last Friday was also Josef's last gig with SPIN. He has decided to quit the band for personal reasons after having been with us for seven years. Josef was an extremely talented musician, an accomplished guitar player and a fun guy to be around, and we shall miss him! We would like to thank him for his enormous contribution to the band over the years and wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavours.

[06/06/2005] SPIN CD Launch

SPIN will be starting summer with a live gig on the event of the launch of the new CD. This will take place on Friday, 1st of July at Remedy (Coconut Grove, Paceville) from 9pm onwards. The entrance fee for the event will be Lm1.50, however whoever buys the new CD will be able to attend for free. A free Vodka-Red Bull shooter will also be served with every ticket entry. An after-gig party will take place featuring DJ Kawk and Spank. So, make sure you do not miss it!
